On Monday, Mumbai city reported 1,310 new Covid-19 cases, around 777 decrease in the number of cases as compared to the previous day. As per the news bulletin of BMC, two Covid-19 related deaths were also reported on June 20.
The recovery rate in the BMC area is 97 per cent. The growth rate of Covid-19 infections in Mumbai stood at 0.181 per cent for the period between June 13 and 19, and the case doubling rate is 374 days, the BMC bulletin said.
A total of 9,949 tests were carried out in the city, taking the cumulative test count to 173,97,766.

Of the 1,310 new patients, 1,213 are asymptomatic and 97 patients have been hospitalised. Of 97 patients, 12 patients are on oxygen support, the bulletin stated.
Maharashtra sees 2,345 fresh Covid-19 cases, two deaths
Maharashtra on June 20 recorded 2,345 new coronavirus cases, including 1,310 in Mumbai, and two fatalities, taking the tally of infections to 79,38,103 and the death toll to 1,47,888, the health department said. A day earlier, Maharashtra had logged 4,004 cases and one fatality.
Maharashtra's case fatality rate now stands at 1.86 per cent and the recovery rate is 97.83 per cent.
The health bulletin said the total number of active cases in the state reached 24,613, including 14,089 in Mumbai, followed by Thane district (5,522), Pune (2,007), and Raigad (1,052).
