The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting (SAFAR) announced that Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) has clocked to 309 which means the city's air quality is âvery poor.'
The national capital has been suffering from very poor air quality for quite some time now, however, on Thursday, Delhi's air quality stood at 200 which is moderate category.
According to SAFAR, the AQI of Mumbai today is poor because of low dispersion and low-temperature variation.
On January 1, the air quality of Mumbai dropped to 307 and the first day of 2021 saw the highest January 1 pollution levels in 4 years.
