There is good news for Mumbaikars. For the first time since March 16, 2020, the city reported zero cases on Tuesday.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 2,772 people were tested for Covid but none turned up positive.
A day prior, mid-day had reported how half of Mumbai's wards didn't report a single Covid case in the past week.
There was a time in January 2022 when Mumbai reported over 20,000 cases a day.

Also, there was no death reported in the city in the past 24 hours either.
On March 9, 2020, the city reported its first Covid-19 case, and till now 11,55,240 people have been infected with the virus out of which 19,747 people succumbed because of the infection.
Currently, there are 23 active patients in the city out of which only two are symptomatic and hospitalised while the rest are asymptomatic.
On Tuesday, the state reported eight new Covid cases while there were no deaths reported.
