Limited vaccine stocks have hampered the city's vaccination drive. On Saturday, around 6,023 people were vaccinated at various centres; these figures include 4,436 beneficiaries inoculated on Friday night.
This means, there were hardly 992 beneficiaries, who were vaccinated in the city due to limited stock on Saturday.
But, the civic body is ready with about 2,500 doses and is expecting to dole out 500 doses at each of the five centres on Sunday. The five centres include Nair, Cooper, Rajawadi and Seven Hills hospitals, and the BKC Jumbo Centre. Priority will be given to those coming in for their second dose.
The BMC is expecting another stock of vaccine doses to come in latest by Sunday.
