The GPS-based tracking feature allows travellers to share their location with family and friends
The Central Railway's Mumbai's new local train app has now gone interactive, and one can now share the live location of their local train journey with family members. The new feature, which was included on CR Mumbai's official Yatri app, after GPS tagging of all trains on all lines, allows for real-time tracking.
"Yatri app has a new updated feature and enhanced security and provision to share live location with family and friends. The recipient of the link can check the current location of the traveller by clicking on shared link. The GPS-based live location tracking ensures that the location is instantly updated on the mobile screen. The app has received over hundreds of reviews on Google Playstore, along with suggestions to improve it further," CR's Chief Public Relations Officer Shivaji Sutar said.

The app is available on Android and IOS, both platforms, from Play Store/App Store," he added.
