A 25-year-old, who has been stealing mobile phones from local train passengers in Mumbai and selling them in Thailand, has been arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch. According to a report by the Hindustan Times, cops recovered 25 stolen mobile phones from him, which were Kurla and Andheri.

The accused, Noorulla Ehesanulla Khan, a resident of Agripada, who lives with his parents, wife and son, ran a gang of mobile thieves and had ties with other gangs, from whom he received 40 per cent of the loot. He has only been arrested once.

Khan would sell the stolen phones in Thailand and purchase electronic items. He has been produced in court and remanded in police custody after being booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Bombay Police Act.
