Around seven hutments in Vile Parle caved in late on Sunday evening and are likely to collapse, the BMC said.
The civic body in a statement said that parts of seven hutments collapsed in adjacent nullah. The incident was reported at around 8:28 pm on Sunday. No injuries were reported in the incident.

It said, 30 to 40 ground plus one hutments on a major nullah in Indira Nagar No.1, Juhu Road near Mithibai College in Vile Parle (West) were affected.

24 hutments have been vacated for safety reasons and its residents were shifted to nearby Sanyas Ashram BMC School. Food and water were arranged by the local ward of the BMC.
