While the city has witnessed wet days last week, here is some good news for Mumbaikars who will be celebrating Raksha Bandhan today. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai is expected to receive lower intensity rainfall on Sunday.
"Mumbai will remain cloudy, but will see moderate rainfall in the next 24 hours, with possibility of above moderate rainfall in isolated places," said Shubhangi Bhute, Deputy Director of IMD-Mumbai.
Bhute said that the intensity of rainfall is said to decrease this week. "Light to moderate rainfall is being predicted for the week in Mumbai," added Bhute. The city's minimum temperature will be around 23 degree Celsius, while the maximum temperature will be 26 degree Celsius.

Along with Mumbai, several parts of the state had received very heavy rainfall in the third week of July, leading to flooding and landslides, after which monsoonal activity had witnessed a lull.
Since June 1, Santa Cruz has recorded 2,351mm rainfall till date, while Colaba has received 1,780 mm rainfall.
Other districts predicted to receive moderate to intense spells of rains are Thane, Raigad, Beed, Latur and Osmanabad. The IMD also said that there will be a reduction of rainfall over Maharashtra from August 22 as enhanced rainfall activity will be witnessed over North-east India, Sub-Himalayan regions, West Bengal, Sikkim from August 23.
