The lowest and highest margin victories in the state have been registered in Mumbai. Out of nine seats in the state where the winning margin is less than 30,000 thousand, three seats are in Mumbai. Even the highest margin victory is registered in the city.

As the Shiv Sena (Shinde) and Sena UBT battled for three out of six seats, and 10 out of 12 candidates were Marathi, the vote share of Marathi voters was divided and this is reflected in the victory margins of MPs. The lowest margin victory, wherein Shinde Sena's Ravindra Waikar declared winner with a meagre margin of 48 votes, was registered in Mumbai. Even two other candidates - Varsha Gaikwad and Sanjay Dina Patil - managed to win with margins of less than 30,000 votes. Of the nine constituencies where the margin is on the lower side, the Shinde Sena and Congress bagged three seats each, NCP-SP won two seats while Sena UBT managed one victory.
Meanwhile, the city also registered the highest margin victory in the state wherein Piyush Goyal won the Mumbai North seat with a margin of over 3.5 lakh votes. But the interesting fact is the margin of BJP in their fort has come down drastically. Historically, the BJP held a firm grip on this Lok Sabha seat. In 2014 BJP's Gopal Shetty secured 6,64,004 votes as opposed to Sanjay Nirupam's 2,17,422 with a winning margin of 4.5 lakh votes. The scenario remained almost identical in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, with Shetty winning the seat with a 4.5 lakh vote margin over Congress' Urmila Matondkar.
