Mumbai local train updates: The Western Railway on Thursday said that some train services between Khar and Goregaon stations would be affected due to on going work of the 6th line.
In a statement, the Western Railway said, In connection with the work of construction of 6th line between Khar and Goregaon over the Mumbai suburban section of Western Railway, the Mail/Express trains affected, cancelled, partially cancelled with short termination/short origination had been i.e notified earlier.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, few more trains are being cancelled/ short terminated/short originated. Details of these trains are as under:

1. Train No. 09144 Vapi - Virar of 4th November, 2023.
2. Train No. 09159 Bandra Terminus - Vapi Express of 5th November, 2023.
Short Termination/Short Origination of trains
1. Train No. 12908 H. Nizamuddin - Bandra Terminus Sampark Kranti Express of journey commencing on 2nd November,2023 will short terminate at Vapi and will be partially cancelled between Vapi - Bandra Terminus.
2. Train No. 19204 Veraval - Bandra Terminus Express of journey commencing on 3rd November,2023 will short terminate at Vapi and will be partially cancelled between Vapi - Bandra Terminus.
3. Train No. 19203 Bandra Terminus - Veraval Express of journey commencing on 4th November,2023 will short originate from Vapi and will be partially cancelled between Bandra Terminus - Vapi.
4. Train No. 20944 Bhagat Ki Kothi - Bandra Terminus Superfast Express of journey commencing on 3rd November,2023 will short terminate at Dahanu Road and will be partially cancelled between Dahanu Road - Bandra Terminus.
Meanwhile, in an another statement, the Western Railway said, the Western Railway is on its mission to fast-track the work of 6th line between Khar and Goregaon station over Mumbai Suburban section. With regard to this some suburban locals have been cancelled as announced earlier. To mitigate the problem faced by commuters, Western Railway is trying its level best to restore few local trains which were announced as cancelled. In order to provide respite and for the convenience of passengers, on 3rd November, 168 trains will be restored i.e only 148 cancellations against 316 as notified.
