Local train services were affected after a train derailed on the Harbour Line at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) on Tuesday morning.
The local train services on the Harbour Line were affected after one trolley of the coach of a Panvel-bound train derailed when it moved in the reverse direction and touched the dead-end of the platform.
Speaking about the incident, Central Railway's chief public relations officer Shivaji Sutar told Mid-Day.com that no one was injured in the incident which took place on platform no. 1 of the CSMT.

"The incident took place at 9.49 am on platform no. 1 where one trolley of the fourth coach from the rear-end derailed. We will carry out a detailed investigation of the incident. The Harbour Line services usually operate from platform nos. 1 and 2 at the CSMT. But, the Harbour Line local trains are now being operated only from platform no. 2," he said.
Sutar while further updating on the incident said that at 11.25 am the re-railment work of the coach was completed. "The restoration work is likely to be completed by this afternoon and after that platform no. 1 will be available for the Harbour Line services," he added.

The Central Railway's chief public relations officer also confirmed that suburban services on the Main Line are running as per schedule.
Central Railway tweeted a video at 12:14 pm informing the commuters that the restoration work was completed and that platform no. 1 is available for the Harbour Line services.
