A 30-year-old man died after slipping from the slums while picking flowers, at Bhatwadi Hills in Ghatkopar on Sunday, officials said. The deceased, identified as Lahu Khot, got trapped in the mountain ridge located at the back of the hill. Officials said that he got stuck in the middle of the hill and it took six hours for the rescuers to remove the body from the ridge of the mountain.

Police said the incident occurred in the afternoon and as soon as it was reported, firefighters were deployed. His body was removed with the help of a rescue rope, they said. "It was a scary operation, as the hill is 50 feet deep. Three personnel were deployed to rescue the person," an officer said.
