A massive fire broke out in an electric shop in Mumbai's Dhobi Talao area on Friday morning.
Several fire tenders are present at the spot and the operation to douse the fire is underway, reported news agency ANI.
According to the Fire Service Department, three fire tenders reached the spot to douse the fire.
There has been no report of any casualty in the incident till now, said the Fire Service Department, reported ANI.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
More details awaited.
Earlier, around 150 vehicles parked in a scrap yard in suburban Bandra in Mumbai were damaged in a fire on Tuesday evening, a fire brigade official said, reported PTI.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
"The blaze erupted at around 6:30 pm. It was a level 1 fire and doused at around 8:14 pm," he said, adding that the exact cause of the fire cannot be known immediately, reported PTI.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man narrowly escaped after a container serving as temporary accommodation for him caught fire in the early hours of Friday in Maharashtra's Thane city, an official said, reported PTI.
But six goats kept inside the container were killed in the incident that took place around 2 am in the Retibunder area near the 'Ganesh Visarjan Ghat', reported PTI.
The fire also damaged three commercial gas cylinders, generators, some equipment and a motorbike, the official said, reported PTI.
One Nirmal Mahato who was fast asleep inside the container managed to escape, he said, reported PTI.
Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Disaster Management Cell at the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), said firefighters reached the spot and put out the fire, whose cause is yet to be determined, reported PTI.
