E-bike facility, available for commuters on rent, was inaugurated at Kurla station on Thursday.
"We have given space in Kurla (West) to set-up a facility to pick up and drop the e-bikes. The facility was inaugurated on Thursday. Mumbai division awarded tender for e-cycle/bike parking and charging to Yulu bikes pvt limited for 1 year at Kurla station. This will provide last mile green connectivity from Kurla (West) towards BKC and other nearby areas," said Shivaji Sutar, chief public relations officer, Central Railway.
Commuters can rent the e-bikes at a rate of RS 25 for 30 minutes.
"Kurla is one of the most crowded stations, especially after the development of the BKC area. The launch of Public Bike Sharing (PBS) in partnership with Central Railway at Kurla station is another step towards providing a safe, affordable, and eco-friendly commute option to the citizens in Mumbai. Users can now rent sanitized vehicles (Yulu Miracle) from Kurla Station for commuting to BKC at a flat rate of Rs 25 for 30 minutes," said Amit Gupta, co-founder, Yulu.
