Mumbai cyber police, On Monday, has issued an alert against online fraudsters who promote fake social media offers on the occasion of Valentine's Day.
As per a Times of India report, most of these links lure people by offering discounts on star hotel services or other products.
Taj Hotels has also informed its clientele that a website has been trying to promote fake offers for Valentine's Day and offering a âTaj experiences gift card.' This message and a link are being circulated on WhatsApp.

In its clarification tweet, Taj said, "It has come to our notice that a website has been promoting a Valentine's Day initiative, offering a Taj Experiences Gift Card via WhatsApp. We would like to inform that Taj Hotels/IHCL has not offered any such promotion. We request to take note of this and exercise due caution."
The Mumbai police has asked citizens to be wary of such offers and freebies and also issue alert.
