Mumbai: Central Railway to introduce digital lockers at cloakrooms of CSMT, LTT and Dadar stations

These digital lockers will provide improved cloakroom amenity through safe lockers, digital payment facility, use of RFID tags and online receipt generation.

Central Railway Mumbai Division will be installing digital lockers at cloak rooms of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Dadar stations soon.

These digital lockers will provide improved cloakroom amenity through safe lockers, digital payment facility, use of RFID tags and online receipt generation.

Passengers who wish to utilise this facility will have to first select the available locker, after depositing necessary cash or other modes available in the digital locker it will open for luggage storage.

A receipt will, then, be dispensed. When retrieving the luggage, the scanner will scan the receipt which will have a QR/Bar code for opening the digital locker.

This facility is being provided as a part of non-fare revenue model.
