The new BMC logo will have a QR code linked to a website with information on nearby vaccination centres
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday unveiled a logo to identify buildings in the city where all adult residents are fully vaccinated.
The logo will have a QR code linked to a BMC website that gives information on nearby vaccination centres. The implementation will begin on Tuesday but the civic body is yet to ascertain the exact number of buildings eligible for the logo.
The idea was put forward by State Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray who asked the civic body to design the logo during a review meeting on September 20. Accordingly, the civic body unveiled the logo at a conference for the signing of MoUs under the Mumbai Climate Action Plan.
"The implementation will start immediately. Currently, we don't have the exact number of buildings. But this will help in creating awareness," said a BMC official.
