A demolition drive by the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation in Mumbai's Kemp's Corner, left one person dead and one injured. The drive took place on Thursday at an apartment's car parking facility.
A report in the Indian Express, quotes an official from the municipal body as having stated, "The car parking shed is private and its slab collapsed during the demolition action by private persons."
The report further states that the victims of the tragedy have been identified as 50-year old Yogendra Ram and 35-year-old Kishor Ramade. While Ram was dead by the time he was taken to the JJ Hospital, Ramade's condition has been stabilised by doctors. Further details of the incident remain awaited.
