The Assistant Municipal Commissioner of Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation, Prem Singh Jadhav, is missing from June 2.
His son, Pratik Jadhav, has filed a missing report at Virar Police Station and the search has commenced.
Prem Singh Jadhav lived with his wife and 29-year-old son. On June 2, he left home for work and did not return. He has been untraceable ever since with his phone being switched off.
Finally on June 3, Pratik Jadhav approached the Virar police and registered a missing complaint.

"We have registered the missing complaint and have started investigation. During the inquiry it has been found that his mobile's last location was Virar railway station," said an officer from Virar police station.
Jadhav's department oversees the disposal of bodies of Covid-19 victims, and demolition of unauthorised structures among other matters, another official added.
