Motorists using an internal road in Aarey Milk Colony are living a daily nightmare, having to negotiate nearly 200 potholes on the 400-metre stretch. With traffic having been diverted because of ongoing construction on the main Aarey Road, motorists are forced to travel on this internal road, which passes New Zealand hostel and goes towards Goregaon-Western Express Highway. Several locals have seen riders fall off their bikes, while riding here.

Yuva Sena core committee member Ankit Prabhu, who also uses the road frequently, said, "The road is used by hundreds of motorists travelling from Dahisar, Borivli, Kandivli, Malad and Goregaon towards Powai and Marol. Since the street lights are not at all functional after dusk, driving on this road can be extremely dangerous." Apart from this stretch, another road between Aarey Market and Royal Palms also has large potholes.

Traffic from the main Aarey Milk Colony road was diverted to this road, due to cement-concretisation work there. An official from the BMC, on condition of anonymity, said, "Before traffic was diverted, we had repaired a portion of the road. We have already started work on repairing the new potholes."
