In an unfortunate incident, a 62-year-old woman lost her life after being stuck in an elevator which collapsed in a residential building in Mumbai.
The incident took place on October 21 in the multi-storey residential building in Charkop. The woman has stepped out for a morning walk, PTI reported.
According to police, the elevator got stuck between the fourth and third floors when the woman was going down from fourth floor. Her son tried to open the elevator door when she cried for help, but got an electric shock and switched off the power supply.

A security guard of the building later tried to open the door of the elevator, it moved down on a high speed and collapsed on the ground floor, the official said according to PTI.
An Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been registered by the Charkop police.
