Mumbai: 60-year-old woman ends life by jumping off from 9th floor in Kandivali

Depressed due to younger son living with his wife at in-laws house, 60-year-old woman ended her life by jumping off from 9th floor in Kandivali.

The 60-year-old woman was residing at Sarova Tower in Thakur Village, Kandivali East, allegedly took her own life by jumping from the window of her ninth-floor residence on Monday morning.

According to the police sources, the deceased woman lived with her husband, three children, and daughter-in-law at the mentioned address. Her younger son had recently married and moved out with his wife, which led to the woman experiencing depression for the last 7-8 months. She was undergoing treatment for her mental health.

This morning, while no one was at home, the woman took the unfortunate step of ending her life by jumping from the window on the ninth floor. An ADR has been filed at the Samtanagar police station. As of now, there is no suspicion or complaint against anyone in this case said an officer.
