A Three-year-old boy drowned to death after falling inside a water tank on Saturday. The incident occurred at Rameshwar Society, a residential complex, in Kandivli (West).
The young boy, who has been identified as Pranav Waze, was playing inside the society when he accidentally fell into the water tank. The boy was found after his mother launched a search inside the society.
While Pranav's mother and other members of the society rushed him to a local hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival. A report in the Hindustan Times quotes an officer from Charkop police station as having stated, "Pranav's mother found his body two hours later. He died due to drowning."

According to the report, the society had a one plus one structure where the houses were allotted by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. Further, renovation work was being carried out at Sameer Pednekar's house, wherein Pranav fell inside the open tank. Police officials registered a case against Padnekar on grounds of negligence under Section 304(A) of the IPC.
