A distress call given by a 21-year-old woman passenger in a NMMT (Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport) bus, gave the Mumbai Police a tough time. The woman, hailing from West Bengal, had come in search of a job and met a Facebook friend of hers in the city.

But on their way to South Mumbai from Panvel, she felt that he may be taking advantage of her. She then raised an alarm and the driver called the police. But, the police later found out that it was just sudden fear that led to the incident. She has been handed over to a shelter, and will be united with her family.

According to the information received from the police, the woman had come to Mumbai because her Facebook friend had told her he would get her a job in his printing business. The police also interrogated the woman's friend, during which the man told the police that his printing business is in the Fort area. She had been living with him and his family all this while.
