The businessman, identified as Vipul Shah, had an imitation jewellery shop and was a resident of Sai Baba Nagar at Borivli West. API Gopal Bhosle of Borivli police station said, "Shah had taken many loans from money lenders and he spent all his money on bar girls. He also had an affair with a bar girl who stays in Malwani." On the investigations he added, "Shah was untraceable. We had only found his last mobile network location, which was Fountain hotel at Ghodbunder Road."
A police officer from Malwani police station under whose jurisdiction Madh beach comes, said, "We found the decomposed body on Madh beach on Friday afternoon. There was a wallet and mobile in
the pocket. In the wallet, we found a debit card with the name of the deceased and we identified the body.
