A 57-year-old Khar builder killed himself with a shot to the head at his Chembur office on Thursday morning. According to the police, Sanjay Agarwal was stressed out over a delayed residential project that was causing him huge financial losses. The Chembur cops have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in the matter.
Agarwal is survived by his wife, son and daughter. Like he did every day, Agarwal came to his fourth floor office in Sanjona Complex, Chembur, with his son and brother in law. "He came to office around 10.45 am and after checking some files in his cabin for around 30 minutes, his staff heard the loud sound of a gun going off. They all ran towards his cabin, but found him dead inside. He had fired from his licensed revolver on this right side of his head," a cop from Chembur police station said.
