The Delhi police claim that they have recovered multiple weapons, including a saw, used by Aftab Poonawala in the brutal murder of Shraddha Walkar. The weapons, which were found during searches in Mehrauli and Gurugram forests, have been sent to forensic experts to check if these were used to kill or chop up Walkar's body.
Cops claimed their probe is almost complete and they would soon be able to connect all the dots. "After extensive efforts and searches at several locations in the forests, we have recovered the weapons used in the crime. The recovery of the weapons is very important to strengthen our case against the accused," said an officer attached to South Delhi police.
"We are sure that the same weapons were used in chopping up Walkar's body, especially the saw as there are saw marks on the bones we have recovered from forest," the cop added.

Sources in the Delhi police have confirmed that Poonawala dated a clinical psychologist after killing Walkar. Cops said that they have recovered Walkar's ring from this woman, who claimed that Poonawala had gifted the ring to her. The woman had allegedly come to the same flat in Mehrauli where Poonawala killed Walkar.

Cops first learnt about the woman while interrogating Poonawala and recorded her statement. Police also wrote to Bumble, the dating app where the woman met Poonawala, asking for Poonawala's details. According to sources, Bumble has submitted the report and allegedly mentioned several women with whom Poonawala talked to. The psychologist is one of these women.
"We have recorded her statement as to how she met Aftab and the places they visited. There are some contradictory statements and the same is being verified. The woman also gave us the ring and said Poonawala had gifted it to her. We believe the ring was Walkar's," said a cop. Cops also asked the woman if Poonawala had sought any psychological help from her.
Meanwhile, the Delhi police conducted the third and final round of polygraph test on Poonawala at Forensic Science Laboratory, Rohini on Monday. Police officers said they were not satisfied with the results of the polygraph tests and have not gotten any good leads as Poonawala did not reveal much.
"He is very sharp and responds to questions after taking time, or says something else altogether. He also takes some time to breathe, which helps him be confident," a cop said. Cops are waiting for narco analysis which is likely to take place within the next few days.
A group of 15 members from the Hindu Sena, armed with three swords, attacked the vehicle which was ferrying Poonawala from FSL Rohini to Tihar Jail on Monday. The assailants shouted that they wanted to chop Poonawala's body like he did with Walkar's body. All 15 were arrested.
Meanwhile, Walkar's family members arrived in Delhi on Monday. Police called them to identify certain things as well as to get some clarity on Poonawala and Walkar's relationship.
