On Tuesday, rains lashed parts of Maharashtra's Thane district, with the city alone recording 48.77 mm showers till 3.30 pm, reported PTI citing an official.
As per official data, Thane city has so far recorded 141.9 mm of rain since June 1, said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the disaster management cell of the TMC.
As per the PTI report, the disaster cell received 23 complaints about rain-related incidents, including water-logging and tree falls, he said.
The official further said the Thane Municipal Corporation issued notices to a hoarding contractor and landowner for the immediate removal of a hoarding, which was in a precarious state on the Eastern Express Highway.

The civic body received a complaint in the afternoon about the hoarding, which was dangling in a dangerous position near a housing complex, reported PTI.
The authorities inspected the site and issued notices to remove the hoarding, he said.
In a rain-related incident, a 40-foot iron arch erected to prevent heavy vehicles from entering a service road collapsed amid gusty winds on Tuesday afternoon in Airoli in Navi Mumbai.
No persons were injured in the incident, civic officials said.
The incident affected traffic on Thane-Belapur Road in sector 3 of Airoli for a couple of hours.
The iron arch was removed using heavy machinery, officials added.
Mumbai Monsoon: 89 rain-related accidents recorded in Mumbai after first heavy showers
As Mumbai witnessed the season's first heavy rainfall on Sunday, the BMC received 89 rain-related complaints from across the city.
As per an official release, the civic body received 36 complaints of shock circuits with no casualties. 24 out of the 36 were from the mainland while the rest happened in the suburbs
47 tree falling incidents were recorded in the city from June 9 to June 10. No persons were injured in the incidents, the BMC said.
A total of 6 incidents of partial building or house collapse happened on Sunday and Monday. Two incidents happened in the mainland while four occurred in the suburbs
Out of the six mentioned accidents, one occurred in Vikhroli that claimed the lives of two individuals. At least two persons, including a 10-year-old boy, were killed after a portion of the slab and parapet of a five-storey under-construction building collapsed in Mumbai's Vikhroli on Sunday night, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said on Monday. The incident took place at Kailas Business Park, near TATA power House, in Vikhroli West area at 11.10 pm on Sunday. Notably, heavy rains lashed parts of Mumbai on Sunday night.
When the fire brigade personnel reached the spot after receiving a call, they found some portion of the parapet and slab had fallen, while some parts of the under-construction building in Vikhroli were hanging precariously, said the civic body.
According to the civic body, the traffic movement was smooth throughout the city.
The Colaba observatory recorded 52.6mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours with maximum temperature being 30 degree celsius while the minimum dropping to 23.5 degree celsius.
Meanwhile, during the same duration, the Santacruz observatory recorded 68.8mm of rainfall with maximum temperature reaching upto 32.8 degree celsius and minimum being at 24.2 degree celsius.
