Maharashtra on Friday reported 697 new coronavirus-positive cases and two deaths, which took the state's overall infection tally to 81,14,309 and the toll to 1,48,304, according to the state health department.
The recovery count in Maharashtra rose by 984 in the last 24 hours and reached 79,61,282, leaving the state with an active caseload of 4,723.
Of the new cases, the Mumbai circle led with 309, followed by 236 in Pune circle, 28 in Latur circle, 32 in Nashik circle, 41 in Kolhapur circle, 26 in Nagpur circle, 20 in Akola circle and 5 in Aurangabad circle, as per the state health department data.

Mumbai circle accounted for two deaths, as per the data.
The state health department's data showed the recovery rate was 98.11 per cent and the fatality rate stood at 1.82 per cent.
It also revealed that 8,44,91,480 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the state so far.
