The Shiv Sena has apparently lost contact with some former corporators from Thane now. It is learnt that former mayor of Thane city, Naresh Mhaske, did not respond to attempts to contact him. Former leader of the house of Thane Municipal Corporation, Ashok Vaity, has also said that he is with Guardian Minister of Thane, Eknath Shinde.
Sources said this is a hint that the Shiv Sena will get a setback in the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation and other local governments in the Thane district. "The Shiv Sena's office bearers tried to get in touch with many former corporators but they did not respond. At least 50 out of 64 former Shiv Senacorporators in Thane will support Shinde," said a source.

Vaity said, "I am with Anand Dighe's protege, Eknath Shinde. No one from the party has called me." A source said Mhaske is a strong supporter of Shinde. Former Thane corporator Sadhana Joshi said, "I haven't received any calls from the party. I don't want to talk about this."
According to the source, the Sena will also suffer in the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation because of Shinde. He has strong contacts with the local karyakartas of KDMC. Sources also said the former corporators of Mumbai are waiting and watching the situation.

They will decide their path after the BMC election. If they don't get a ticket from Shiv Sena they will choose BJP or follow Shinde. In Thane city, Shinde is the face of the Shiv Sena and he personally connects with every party worker. But in Mumbai the situation and the voting trend are different.
