Maha's new Covid-19 guidelines: Night curfew from Jan 10; Restaurants, cinemas to have 50 per cent capacity

Private offices are advised to have not more than 50 per cent attendance. Swimming pools, gyms, spas, wellness centres and beauty salons to remain closed

The Maharashtra government on Saturday announced new guidelines for different establishments in view of the rise in Covid-19 cases in the state due to the Omicron variant. As per the new rules, which come into effect from January 10, no movement in groups of 5 or more people will be allowed from 5 am to 11 pm. Night curfew will be imposed from January 10 and no movement will be allowed from 11 pm to 5 am except for essential purposes.

Private offices

Schools, colleges

Shopping centres, markets

Restaurants, eateries

Swimming pools, gyms, spas, wellness centres and beauty salons

Cinema theatres

Public transport

For domestic travel

Entertainment parks, zoos, museums, forts, local tourist spots
