Maharashtra HSC results to be out at 4 pm today

Putting an end to the long wait, the Maharashtra State Board announced on Monday evening that the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results will be declared today afternoon. Students will be able to see their results on the official website from 4 pm onwards.

This will be the first ever HSC results to be declared without an examination. The results are based on scores of Std X, XI and XII in the 30:30:40 ratio, respectively.

While for Std X, the best three scores from the total will be considered, for Std XI it will be marks obtained in all subjects in the final examination. Whereas for Std XII, marks obtained in internal assessments, vivas, prelims, practise tests among all will be considered.

While the state board made the announcement through a circular, School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad wished good luck to students through a tweet. Gaikwad tweeted saying, "...Thanks to all colleges and teachers for going beyond their call of duty and ensuring the results are finalised in a short span of time."

Even as the state education department had earlier mentioned that the results would be declared before July end, no news of it was causing a lot of stress among students and parents.
