In another incident in Borivli residential society, fireman suffers burns

It took nearly seven hours to contain the fire in Boisar


Two workers were killed and six people seriously injured after a fire broke out at a cloth manufacturing factory in Boisar on Sunday morning. The police said that the workers died of burn injuries; the others are currently out of danger. The Boisar Police registered an accidental death report and are investigating the case further.

The incident occurred at the Jakharia Fabric Limited Company, located at MIDC Tarapur in Boisar. In the primary report, the police and fire bridge found that the fire had broken out in the boiler machine. Around eight workers were present inside the factory, when the incident occurred.

The dead have been identified as Mithilesh Rajvanshi and Chotelal Saroj. The injured are Ganesh Vijay Patil, Arvind Yadav, Murli Gautam, Amit Yadav, Mukesh Yadav and Umesh Rajvanshi. Senior Inspector Pradeep Kasbe of Boisar police station said, "The fire broke out at 6 am, and could be contained only by 1 pm."

In another incident, a fireman was seriously injured while extinguishing a fire at a residential society in Borivli. The fireman identified as Nathu Sarjerao Badhak, 43, had gone to the terrace to extinguish the fire, when he suffered burns. He is being treated at Shatabdi Hospital.
