Ujjwal Nikam, a BJP candidate for the Mumbai North Central constituency, declared assets worth Rs 43.5 crore including Rs 34 lakh cash in hand. Another candidate, Varsha Gaikwad, who is contesting polls against Nikam, declared assets amounting to Rs 11.6 crore, up from Rs 4.8 crore in 2019.
On the last day of nomination, Ravindra Waikar and Yamini Jadhav from Shinde Shiv Sena and Nikam from BJP filed their nomination forms.
Nikam, an advocate by profession, obtained property worth Rs 41.5 crore along with his wife and family members (under Hindu undivided family law). As per the affidavit filed by him, Nikam has immovable assets worth Rs 21.57 crore including including residential apartments and agricultural land, R34 lakh cash in hand, 740 gm gold and 11 kg silver. He has a loan of Rs 6 lakh.
Gaikwad's property holdings increased from Rs 4.8 crore in 2019 to 11.65 crore at present. As per the affidavit filed by her during the 2019 Lok Sabha election, she and her husband acquired movable assets worth Rs 2.32 crore. Now they both have Rs 3.97 crore-worth movable assets. The couple had immovable assets amounting to Rs 2.5 crore which rose by Rs 7.68 crore.

Yamini Jadhav filed an affidavit stating that she and her husband jointly acquired movable assets of Rs crore and immovable assets worth Rs 5.54 crore. Waikar listed Rs 54.20 crore as his total assets in his affidavit.
