Mumbai suburban district election administration will be hosting a grand bicycle rally on May 1 to urge people to enthusiastically cast their ballots in Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Voting in Mumbai and other constituencies will be held on May 20.
The rally, organised on Maharashtra Day, will commence at 6.30 am near the District Collector's office near Chetana College.
Deputy Commissioner Prasad Khairnar of the Mumbai Suburban Social Welfare Department announced that participants must register online to join the rally organised to increase the participation of voters in Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
A spokesperson from the collector's office said, "Voting for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in four constituencies in Mumbai suburban district limits will be held on May 20.

As a part of a campaign to increase voter turnout, we have been conducting several awareness programs alongside the 'Sveep' program and thus have also organised the cycle rally."
The official added that the co-hosts of the event are Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Mumbai and Mulund Riders and Mumbai Suburban District's Deputy District Election Officer.
"The rally will be flagged off in the presence of District Collector and District Election Officer Rajendra Kshirsagar and other dignitaries. Among the dignitaries participating in the rally are Mumbai City Additional District Collector Farog Mukadam, BMC Deputy Commissioner Vishwas Mote, Prasad Khairnar, Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare, Mumbai East, and other officials," another official from the collector's office said.
Route of the rally
The rally will start from the collector's office in Mumbai's Bandra (East) and then split into different routes. The destination for route number 1 is Prabodhan Thakre Natyagruha in Borivali while route number two will conclude at Andheri Sports Complex. Route number 3 will terminate at the National Centre of Performing Arts in South Mumbai's Nariman Point. The last route will be terminatinating at Kalidas Natyamandir in Mulund.
