Following demand from parents, Aaditya Thackeray says health and education depts in talks with paediatric task force to reopen schools for students up to Std VII

Parents' demand to reopen schools for Std VII and below is finally heard as state cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray, in a social media post, said the issue is being actively discussed. The demand to reopen school for the younger students has intensified over the past week with scores of parents taking to social media to raise their concerns. They have also sent a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, as reported by mid-day on Sunday.


And his post on a social media platform

"We have been receiving various delegations with regards to opening of schools from stds 1 to 7. Taking all concerns of covid safety into account, the issue is being actively discussed by Public Health Dept, Education Dept and Pediatric Task Force. We hope to resume schools soon, safely [sic]," read Thackeray's post. Soon after the post, parents started sending messages to him with their concerns and demands; many have also tagged him in their requests to reopen kindergarten sections, too.
