ICC World Cup 2023 finals: The Western Railway on Saturday said that it will run superfast special trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad for the passengers planning to travel to watch the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 final cricket match.
In an official statement, the Western Railway said that Western and Central Railway will run 5 additional Special Trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad with a view to clear the extra rush of cricket fans attending ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 Final Match between India vs Australia at Ahmedabad on Sunday, 19th November, 2023.
"Till now, WR & CR have notified 11 trains for this grand occasion. These train will run on Special fare," the statement said.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur - Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, details of these trains are as under:

1. Train No. 09035/09036 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Superfast Special (2 Trips)
Train No. 09035 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Superfast Special will depart from Mumbai Central on Sunday, 19th November, 2023 at 05.15 hrs & will reach Ahmedabad at 10.40 hrs, the same day. Similarly, Train No. 09036 Ahmedabad - Mumbai Central Superfast Special will depart from Ahmedabad on Monday, 20th November, 2023 at 02.00 hrs & will reach Mumbai Central at 07.25 hrs, the same day. Enroute this train will halt at Borivali, Surat and Vadodara stations. This train comprises of AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car coaches.
2. Train No. 09099 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Superfast Special (One-Way)
Train No. 09099 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Superfast Special will depart from Mumbai Central on Sunday, 19th November, 2023 at 05.00 hrs & will reach Ahmedabad at 11.20 hrs, the same day. Enroute this train will halt at Borivali and Surat stations. This train comprises of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.
3. Train No. 01155/01156 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus - Ahmedabad Superfast Special (2 Trips)
Train No. 01155 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus - Ahmedabad Special will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on Sunday, 19th November, 2023 at 00.20 hrs & will reach Ahmedabad at 09.00 hrs, the same day. Similarly, Train No. 01156 Ahmedabad - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Special will depart from Ahmedabad on Monday, 20th November at 05.00 hrs, & will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 14.30 hrs, the same day.
Enroute this train will halt at Dadar, Thane, Vasai Road, Surat and Vadodara stations in both directions. This train comprises of Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.
The booking for Train No. 09035, 09036, 09099 and 01156 is open at all PRS Counters and on IRCTC website. The above trains will run as Special Train on Special Fare.
Additional Vande Bharat Special Train between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad
Western Railway will run an additional Vande Bharat Special Train between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad with a view to clear the extra rush. Total 11 Special Trains have been notified by Western Railway and Central Railway, the Western Railway said in an another statement.
Train No. 09035/09036 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Superfast Special (2 Trips)
Train No. 09035 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Superfast Special will depart from Mumbai Central on Sunday, 19th November, 2023 at 05.15 hrs and will reach Ahmedabad at 10.40 hrs, the same day.
Similarly, Train No. 09036 Ahmedabad - Mumbai Central Superfast Special will depart from Ahmedabad on Monday, 20th November, 2023 at 02.00 hrs & will reach Mumbai Central at 07.25 hrs, the same day.
Enroute this train will halt at Borivali, Surat and Vadodara stations.
This train will run with 8 coaches and comprise of AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car coaches.
"Booking is open for the above trains at all PRS counters and IRCTC website," the Western Railway said.
