The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 16 kg of heroin valued at more than Rs 80 crore at the Mumbai airport.
The DRI arrested a person with drugs at Mumbai International Airport. According to PTI, a passenger was intercepted on Wednesday on the basis of a tip-off and the search of his luggage led to the discovery of contraband.
A DRI official told PTI that the heroin was concealed in a cavity created inside a trolley bag.
The man, a Kerala resident, was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and further probe was on, he said.

The accused John told the DRI that a foreign national had given him one thousand US dollars as commission to take him to India, the accused also disclosed the names of other associates, reported news agency ANI.
DRI is now probing these names, DRI is also now finding out whether John was involved in the smuggling of drugs in India earlier also.
