After recording the second wave's lowest test positivity rate (TPR), Mumbai witnessed a marginal drop in TPR in comparison to Saturday and it was 1.06% on Sunday.
The city also saw a marginal drop in new cases as 331 were reported with 10 Covid-19 fatalities. It was on July 22, that the cases had gone above 400.
After registering TPR above 2% on June 27, the city's TPR has remained below 2. There has been a steady fall in the test positivity rate after May 5 when the TPR was recorded at 10.96%. However, the doubling rate dropped to 1,458 days on Sunday, it was 1,465 on Saturday.
Of the 10 deaths, 9 patients had comorbidities, 8 deaths were in the age group of over 60, one death was reported between 40-60 years of age and another one was below the age of 40. The city's recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 403 people recovered and were discharged on Sunday.
The state's new Covid-19 cases saw a marginal drop as 6,479 were reported on Sunday. But the state's Covid-19 fatalities saw a marginal drop as 157 deaths were reported.

The state's case fatality rate remained constant at 2.1 per cent as 4,110 people recovered and got discharged on Sunday. Currently the state has 78,962 active cases.
On Sunday MMR reported 998 cases. Apart from Mumbai, the Panvel Municipal Corporation with 122 and Raigad with 180 reported the maximum new cases in MMR. Navi Mumbai reported 72 new cases while Thane saw 67 cases and Vasai-Virar reported 31 new cases each on Sunday.
MMR, excluding Mumbai, registered 7 Covid-19 fatalities on Sunday. Navi Mumbai saw 2 deaths, Thane saw 3 deaths, the highest after Mumbai. Vasai-Virar reported two casualties of Covid-19 on Sunday too.
