Mumbai's test positivity rate marginally slipped to 2.14 per cent on Monday from 2.28 per cent a day earlier. The city's daily new cases also saw a slight drop, with the BMC putting the number at 608.
However, there was a rise in Covid-19 fatalities as 18 deaths were reported across the city. The state saw 6,727 fresh infections.
Mumbai had recorded the lowest TPR (1.76 per cent) on June 22.
The doubling rate remained at 28 days for the second consecutive day.
The city's recovery rate remained constant at 96 per cent as 714 people recovered and were discharged on Monday.
The state's new Covid-19 cases saw a significant drop in new cases and fatalities on Monday. As per the state report, Maharashtra had 6,727 new cases. Fatalities were 101.
The state's case fatality rate was at 2.1 per cent. Across the state, 10,812 were discharged on Monday. Currently, the state has 1.17 lakh active cases.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region reported 1,578 cases, including Mumbai. Apart from the city, Panvel with 141 and Raigad with 258 reported the maximum new cases in MMR.
Thane reported 88 new cases, while Kalyan-Dombivli saw 64 cases and Vasai-Virar reported 98 fresh infections.
MMR, excluding Mumbai, registered 10 deaths.
The BMC with the help of other agencies is constructing four new Covid-19 centres. One of them, the facility at Malad, was inaugurated on Monday. It has nearly 2,200 beds of which about 70 per cent are oxygen connections and 190 ICU beds. The centre also has 200 oxygen beds and 50 ICU beds for children. In the second phase, work is going on at Kanjurmarg, Sion and Mahalaxmi Racecourse centres.
