For the first time in the second wave, the city's fresh Covid-19 cases dipped below 300. While Mumbai recorded 299 new cases, it saw single-digit fatalities at eight. After registering a TPR of above 2 per cent on June 27, the city's TPR remained below it. Mumbai reported the highest number of cases - 11,163 - on April 4 and then the decline started. There has been a steady fall in the TPR since May 5. The city's doubling rate has improved and was 1,324 days on Monday.
