Maharashtra reported 19 new Covid-19 cases and zero deaths on August 17, as per the health bulletin released by the state government.
According to the bulletin, 15 patients were discharged today taking the total tally of recovered patients to 80,21,748.
"The recovery rate in the state is 98.18 per cent," said the health official.
"The case fatality rate in the state is 1.81 per cent, " added the health official.

Out of 8,74,57,272 laboratory samples 81,70,392 have tested positive (9.34 per cent) for Covid-19 until today.
"Around 1,823 test were done today out of which 1,286 test were conducted in government laboratories, 535 were done in private laboratories and two by self-test," the health official said.
At present dominant variant of Covid is Omicron XBB.1.16. Total 1733 cases were found to be infected with this variant. There were 19 deaths reported among the cases of this variant.
Since January 1, 2023, 127 Covid-19 deaths have been recorded. 72.44 per cent of these deaths have occurred in individuals above 60 years of age, 84 per cent of the deceased had comorbidities, 16 per cent did not have any comorbidity.
Maharashtra presently has 83 active cases.
