Covid-19: In fresh hike, Mumbai crosses 20k cases; Dharavi at 107 in highest single-day spike

Mumbai reported 20,181 Covid-19 cases on Thursday, as per Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) daily bulletin. About 85 per cent of the cases are asymptomatic.

Dharavi also reported 107 new infections, the highest ever spike in a day.

There were four deaths reported in the city.

Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar had said on Tuesday that if the daily Covid-19 cases cross the 20,000 mark, then the lockdown will be imposed in the city."We will have to impose lockdown in Mumbai if daily Covid-19 cases cross the 20,000-mark," said Pednekar.
