The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) relaxed its guidelines on Wednesday, stating that walk-in vaccination will be allowed for citizens aged 60 or above and specially abled people whose second dose of either Covishield or Covaxin is due from Monday to Wednesday (May 17 to 19). The civic body also mentioned that the walk-in facility can be availed by citizens only at vaccination centres 'near their residences'.

The civic body posted about the revised guidelines on their Twitter handle.

Maharashtra Environment and Tourism Minister Aaditya Thackeray also posted on the micro-blogging site stating that this has been done "for those who have gone past the prescribed gap between 2 vaccines."
Registration will be compulsory for citizens from Thursday to Saturday while Sundays the vaccination centres would remain closed, stated the civic body.
