Central Railway to introduce 10 additional AC local services on Mumbai main line

Central Railway, on Tuesday, announced that it will be introducing 10 more air-conditioned (AC) local train services on the main line starting from November 6, 2023. The additional services will ply instead of the regular services.

These new services will take the total number of daily AC local services to 66 while the total count of suburban services within the Mumbai division shall remain at 1810. The AC local services are scheduled to operate from Monday to Saturday, with no services on Sundays or nominated holidays.

"Central Railway will introduce 10 more AC local services by replacing the following non-AC services with effect from 6.11.2023. With this, the total number of AC local services will increase to 66 daily. The total number of suburban services on Central Railway Mumbai Division will remain at 1810. Out of these 10 services, there will be one in the morning peak and one in the evening peak hours. These AC locals will run from Monday to Saturday and will not run on Sundays and nominated holidays," the CR said in its media statement.

The new services are designed to cater to both morning and evening peak hours, offering commuters more flexibility in their travel options.

The schedule for the 10 additional AC local services is as follows:

• 1. K-14 CSMT Slow local: Departure from Kalyan at 07.16 hrs, arriving at CSMT at 8.45 hrs.
• K-25 Kalyan Slow local: Departure from CSMT at 08.49 hrs, arriving at Kalyan at 10.18 hrs.
• K-50 CSMT Slow local: Departure from Kalyan at 10.25 hrs, arriving at CSMT at 11.54 hrs.
• A-27 Ambernath slow local: Departure from CSMT at 11.58 hrs, arriving at Ambernath at 13.44 hrs.
• A-42 CSMT Slow local: Departure from Ambernath at 14.00 hrs, arriving at CSMT at 15.47 hrs.
• DL-33 Dombivili slow local: Departure from CSMT at 16.01 hrs, arriving at Dombivili at 17.20 hrs.
• DDL-2 Parel slow local: Departure from Dombivili at 17.32 hrs, arriving at Parel at 18.38 hrs.
• DK-15 Kalyan Slow local: Departure from Parel at 18.40 hrs, arriving at Kalyan at 19.54 hrs.
• PK-22 Parel Slow local: Departure from Kalyan at 20.10 hrs, arriving at Parel at 21.25 hrs.
• PK-23 Kalyan Slow local: Departure from Parel at 21.39 hrs, arriving at Kalyan at 22.53 hrs.
