The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is upgrading its SAP software, so the system will be shut down from 8 pm on July 9, 2021 to 8 pm on July 21, 2021.

Earlier, the update was to be done between 8 pm from June 11, 2021 to 8 am on June 28, 2 021.

However, as the SAP system will remain closed during the update period, the process has been postponed for a month due to technical and tender requirements of various departments of the corporation.

A revised schedule has been announced accordingly. During this period, the SAP servers will be migrated to another data centre and will be converted to a SAP HANA platform. As the BMC is going to use the eProcurement System of the government of Maharashtra, the tendering processes of all departments will continue.

Citizens and BMC employees will not be able to carry out any transactions including citizen services, issuance of purchase orders or processing payments, etc, during this period. However, services other than those on the SAP (systems, applications and products) system like property tax payment, water bill payment and building plan approval will be available to citizens on other sites.
