After the inspection of Union minister Narayan Rane's Adhish bungalow at Juhu on Monday, the BMC was yet to send a notice to the BJP till Tuesday evening. A source said a team of civic officials that visited the property has found some illegal construction on the fifth floor of the 8-storey structure. BMC continues work in utmost secrecy in this case.

The BMC inspection came amid allegations of violation of CRZ norms in the construction of the bungalow. The BMC first sent a notice to the owner of Adhish last Thursday. It tried to inspect the property the next day but deferred it as none from the minister's family was present.

A team of civic officials spent about two hours inspecting the place and examining the documents on Monday. They found some unauthorised construction on the fifth floor, said a source. In such a case, a notice is sent under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning (MRTP) Act, which grants the owner one month to regularise the structure.

Deputy Municipal Commissioner Vijay Balamvar, the official tied to the case, remained unavailable despite calls. The notice had not been sent till the late evening on Tuesday.
