Anil Parab, Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate
Shiv Sena (UBT) party leader, former minister and legislator Advocate Anil Parab will file his nomination papers on Monday, June 3, from the Mumbai graduate constituency of the Legislative Council. Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray, party Lok Sabha candidates from Mumbai Arvind Sawant, Anil Desai and Amol Kirtikar, Mumbai Congress President Varsha Gaikwad, Congress Lok Sabha candidate Bhushan Patil, and prominent leaders, MPs and MLAs of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), will be present on the occasion.
Parab will file his nomination papers with the Konkan Divisional Commissioner at 12 noon. On this occasion, there will be a show of strength by Shiv Sena (UBT) party workers. Around 3,000 Shiv Sainiks, Yuva Sainiks and graduate voters will be present for the nomination.
On May 8, the Election Commission announced the elections for the four Legislative Council seats: the Mumbai and Konkan graduates and Nashik and Mumbai teacher constituencies. Last week, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray announced the name of Anil Parab as the party candidate from the Mumbai graduate constituency.
Parab has taken a step towards victory in the elections as the Mahayuti candidate is still not announced. Parab said that the Mumbai graduate constituency had remained with Shiv Sena for the past thirty years. "Shiv Sena has taken the lead in voter registration and campaigning. This time too, my victory as a Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate from the Mumbai graduate constituency is certain with a record number of votes," said Parab.

Parab has been a Shiv Sena MLC in the Legislative Council three times, in 2004, 2012, and 2018. For the first time, he is contesting the election from the Mumbai graduate constituency. Shiv Sainiks have registered a large number of voters in this constituency. Over 116,000 voters have been registered in this constituency this time.
Voting for the four Legislative Council seats will take place on June 26 between 8 am and 4 pm. The counting of votes and results will be announced on July 1. The term of the four legislators from the Legislative Council in these constituencies ends on July 7.
