A group of people, including TV actor Aman Verma, will protest at Andheri Lokhandwala on Wednesday against Shelter Makers Private Limited for not handing over office premises that was bought by them in 2004.
Raju Manwani, Bombay District Governor, Lions Club International said, "Aman Verma, as well as 20 other legal owners of Poonam Plaza, Andheri, are joining hands to sort out this problem."
Manwani further added, "We were supposed to get our office premises in the plaza by 2005. But the date keeps getting postponed. We have approached the Consumer Court and they have issued him a notice."
However, the builder N Kumar of the Shelter Makers Private ltd group said, "We haven't received any notice yet. This is just a way of the brokers to pressurise us. We are waiting for an NOC from the SRA and only then can we hand over the premises to the buyers. Without which it would be illegal."
