Former Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray on Friday slammed the Eknath Shinde-led government after Maharashtra suffered the loss of another big-ticket project after the Centre announced that the Rs 22,000 crore Tata-Airbus project for manufacturing military transport aircraft would now come up in Vadodara in Gujarat despite the state government's efforts to locate it in Nagpur.
In a press conference, Thackeray launched a scathing attack on the Shinde-Fadnavis government saying that the double engine Sarkar is a failure as one engine is not working.
"It can be seen that the industry has no faith in the Khoke government. Now even after 4 projects escape from Maharashtra, will the Industries Minister resign?," he tweeted.

The former Maharashtra minister also said this is the fourth project after the USD 20 billion Vedanta Foxconn semiconductor project, bulk drug project and medical devices project, Maharashtra has lost since the Shinde-Fadnavis government came to power.

The state government is not at all serious about Maharashtra's progress, Thackeray alleged.
He also added that the previous MVA government led by his father Uddhav Thackeray had managed to bring investment to the state even during the pandemic, but this government has failed to do so.
Last month, a blame-game had erupted in Maharashtra following the announcement that a joint venture semiconductor project of the Indian conglomerate Vedanta and Taiwanese electronics giant Foxconn, proposed to be set up near Pune city earlier, would come up in Gujarat.
